Printer-friendly version

Wageningen University is an international knowledge institution that attracts students from more than 100 countries. It focuses on both an adequate supply of safe and healthy food and drink, and on the chance to live, work and play in a balanced ecosystem with a large variety of plants and animals. This year the university was chosen as the best university in the Netherlands for the fourth time in row. The Wageningen Campus is located in a small city in the middle of the Netherlands, surrounded by farmland, forests and the summer meadows of the  river Rhine. Its 35,000 inhabitants enjoy a thriving cultural and social life. Theatres, cinemas, student clubs, bars, night clubs and restaurants offer the allure of a city with the safe environment of a rural village. Well-known are the excellent sport facilities. The majority of the students live in one of the student apartment buildings, situated within 10 minutes cycling distance of the town centre and the university.
